Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) Private Wealth Management announced today the appointment of Mauricio Sanchez as Executive Director and Head of Latin America operations in Geneva, Switzerland, reporting jointly to Ernesto de la Fe, Head of Latin America for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management and Francois Andriot, CEO of Banque Morgan Stanley SA.
"We are extremely pleased that Mauricio has decided to join Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management," commented Mr. de la Fe. "His deep knowledge of and extensive experience in the Latin American markets make him the ideal person to lead our operations in Geneva."

Mr. Sanchez joins the Firm from Merrill Lynch, where he spent over 20 years in various senior management positions in Operations, Finance, Administration and Sales covering Latin America from Buenos Aires, Miami, Montevideo, Santiago de Chile and Geneva. In his most recent role, Mr. Sanchez was the head of Latin America for Merrill Lynch Bank (Suisse) SA in Geneva.
Mr. Sanchez earned a degree in Accounting from the University of Republica del Uruguay.
