The Compliance Full Time Analyst Program (Baltimore) consists of two 12-month rotations with potential placements with a team covering compliance functions, such as Wealth Management Compliance, Global Financial Crimes, Regulatory Relations, Information Control or Global Monitoring and Testing. Analysts are assigned to roles that provide a strong foundation in both advisory and oversight aspects of a compliance program.

Training Program

The Full Time program includes a one-day Firmwide orientation, followed by a two-week business unit-specific training program led by the Firm's Learning & Development team. The training program focuses on business, technical and professional knowledge specific to Morgan Stanley and also provides networking opportunities. In addition, Analysts will also attend additional compliance-specific training designed to provide an understanding of Morgan Stanley's Compliance program 

You Will

Responsibilities very depending on the role, but may include the following:  

  • Conducting monitoring and surveillance of transaction, employee activities and communications. 
  • Conducting due diligence reviews of clients (for example, potential financial crime-related reviews).
  • Analyzing industry developments and regulatory updates
  • Reviewing/drafting policies and procedures, and developing/updating related training courses. 
  • Participating in risk assessments, including analyzing the compliance environment and controls for a line of business. 
  • Providing guidance and delivering practical solutions to the Wealth Management business

Qualifications

  • You are graduating between Dec 2020 & May 2021
  • You have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Track record of academic excellence
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize a variety of data to produce well-designed and meaningful summaries and reports
  • Adept at solving problems and developing efficient processes 
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
