Tech philanthropy allows us to put our firm's core values into action by offering programs that expand access, remove barriers, and invest in the next generation of technologists.
The moment I personally realized how special this program is was when I was traveling in India visiting at our sites last year, and we had a session on Code to Give. And we saw teams from universities come and really compete to develop software for organizations that were driving real impact across the country.
Tech philanthropy at Morgan Stanley is really about facilitating opportunities for our tech employees to give back to their communities. We have worked with Save the Children, Family and Children's Association, Pets Are Wonderful Support, Glace Shanon, the Food Bank of Singapore, and so many other organizations.
Our tech education offerings aim to inspire the next generation of technologists through mentorship, instruction, and hands-on learning. Our goals are to inspire, ignite, and integrate youth into careers in tech. Tech Changemakers is our pro bono tech program that embeds teams of technologists in local nonprofits to build end tech solutions that help the organizations to scale. It's incredibly fulfilling.
Tech philanthropy has several different types of codeathons that we offer. Code to Give is our flagship program for bringing students in. It's a really fantastic way just to spend several days with a team, with a lot of students, and to see their work firsthand. And there are other smaller one-off hackathons that also follow the same model.
We were working for a nonprofit called Lemon Tree, and they wanted to implement a volunteer management system. And along with my mentors as well, they were really helpful giving me feedback that how can you finish the product and pitch it in within five minutes. To have the support of an established company that believes in us but puts resources, talent towards solving our problems, helps make a huge impact on how we're able to achieve our mission.
You can just hear the stories from the people that have been involved and see why they had such a fantastic experience, and you can see the impact that it has on the nonprofits. In a few years, I want to see tech philanthropy scaled across all locations where we have a technology footprint. We want global reach and local relevance.
Volunteering builds leadership, perspective, and a strong sense of purpose. It's also a powerful way to recognize and amplify the impact our technologists can have beyond the firm, using their skills to strengthen the communities we serve.
