Sofia is Head of Sustainability Strategy & Solutions for Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), focusing on strategic implementation, regulatory and product-related sustainability initiatives, such as supporting investment teams on product positioning and obtaining ESG labels, developing frameworks and content generation.
Prior to this, she worked in MSIM’s Asia Office of COO based in Hong Kong, as the integration and sustainability project manager for MSIM’s China Fund JV. Sofia joined Morgan Stanley in 2010, and has worked in the Private Wealth Management division in Hong Kong and in Alternative Investments Product Development in New York. Prior to re-joining the firm in 2017, she had worked for StepStone Group and CreditEase Wealth Management, focusing on private equity and real estate research and business development.
In addition to her MSIM Sustainability role, Sofia is also a tutor on the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership – Postgraduate Certificate for Sustainable Business. Sofia holds a Masters of Science from Imperial College London, a Chinese Language & Culture Certificate from Tsinghua University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hong Kong. Sofia is an EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA®) and holds a CFA UK Certificate in ESG Investing.
