Background
Geoff Laporte is Head of Business Development for Morgan Stanley Capital Partners and is based in New York. He is responsible for deal origination, business development, and relationship management efforts. Mr. Laporte joined Morgan Stanley in 2018 from Wellspring Capital Management, a middle market buyout fund, where he spent four years as part of the investment team before leading the business development function. He began his career at Citigroup in both the Industrials Investment Banking and Leveraged Finance divisions. Mr. Laporte holds a B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
