Lauren Hochfelder, Head of Real Assets of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing joined Bloomberg’s ‘Women, Money & Power’ to discuss her outlook on the real estate market going into 2026. She explains how residential real estate is undersupplied and how senior housing and aging is an ongoing investment theme.
“To determine what kind of real estate is going to perform, you have to look at what human beings need and what infrastructure supports our daily lives. Residential is necessity based and undersupplied, so as a broad matter, it is a sector that we like. More specific, look at the population of the U.S., what do we know? It’s aging. So senior housing is a really high conviction strategy for us in 2026.
