| An Overview of Recent Internet Reports – Presentation Over the last four months we have fine-tuned our Internet industry frameworks. In our TMT report, we focus on global Internet user/usage propensity. We followed this with our Brand report, where we concentrate on brand value and customer monetization opportunities for Internet companies. We introduced our Internet User/Usage Ecosystem Framework back in January and update (and detail) this in our Framework Drill Down report. In the seventh edition of our Technology & Internet IPO Yearbook we reflect on the company creation and investing lessons of the PC revolution, which kicked in with the IPO of Apple Computer in 1980, and the early stage, déjà vu, lessons of the Internet revolution, which began with the IPO of Netscape in 1995. Specifically, we published a section of this report titled Technology & the Economy: An Attempt at Pattern Recognition which helps illustrate some of the recent financing excesses in technology that the markets will likely need to continue to re-set for over a period which, in our view, may last between two-to-six quarters. We believe inventory adjustments, company rationalization, market confidence and psychology are the key variables. Here, we present a summary (in slide format) of these reports. In addition, we include our Internet Ecosystem Framework Data Table updated with available CQ1:01 results (as of 04-18-01).
