| The Internet Ecosystem – Presentation Members of our U.S.-based Internet and Communications research teams got together to discuss basic past and present industry trends and prospects for their increasingly connected sectors. The core team included analysts focused on what we call the “Internet Ecosystem” — the Front-End to the Back-End parts of the Internet. The underlying Internet user, uses, and usage (IU3) growth drivers that we see include: 1) global underpenetration; 2) increasing uses (from commerce to information to communications) for consumers and businesses; 3) migration of corporate applications to the Internet; and 4) the need to eliminate Internet congestion/bottlenecks. Longer term, we expect that wireless, residential broadband, and voice-over-IP will be growth drivers. The Internet Ecosystem – Presentation – Part 1 of 1 (69 pages) |
