The Prime Brokerage Summer Analyst Program is 10 weeks long and offers a unique insight into a Wall Street firm. The Prime Brokerage Program offers excellent networking opportunities. Summer Analysts are assigned a mentor to help them acclimate to the firm, and have daily exposure to senior management during information sessions, one-on-one meetings and learning lunches. Summer Analysts also attend numerous events, including outings with the various areas of Prime Brokerage, to help them get to know the Morgan Stanley professionals. Please note that the summer analyst program is the main opportunity for college graduates to receive an offer as a full-time analyst within Prime Brokerage, as the division does not actively participate on campus for full-time analyst recruiting. The Summer Analyst Program in Prime Brokerage Prime Brokerage provides a range of core and specialized services that offers talented graduates the opportunity to build a rewarding career at the leading edge of financial innovation. You will have the opportunity to operate as a strategic partner with our hedge fund clients. The Prime Brokerage Summer Analyst Program consists of classroom training, a desk placement, rotations, senior management speaker series, networking events and a mid-summer review. Summer Analysts are placed in a specific role in a functional area for the majority of the summer, allowing them to gain an in-depth understanding of the role that an Analyst can play within the Division. To provide them with broad exposure to the diverse products and functions throughout Prime Brokerage, Analysts rotate to various areas within the Prime Brokerage Division. Within the different business functions of Prime Brokerage the following roles exist for Summer Analysts joining the program:
Launching Your Career The Prime Brokerage Summer Analyst Program lasts 10 weeks, with an initial week of training and seven weeks of focused exposure to one of the following groups: Client Service, Sales, Client Consulting Services, Marketing, Technology, Risk, Capital Introductions, or Finance. The remaining two weeks of the program include one week for rotation to other groups of Prime Brokerage, and one week of departmental project work. All internships will have the opportunity for client interaction. The program also includes lunches with senior managers and social events with Equity Finance professionals and colleagues/peers across the firm. Besides giving you the opportunity to have a crash course in the hedge fund industry, the program will give you many opportunities to network with senior managers, professionals, and colleagues/peers across the firm. Developing Your Career At the end of the summer, every exceptional Summer Analyst has the opportunity to receive a full-time offer. Each Summer Analyst receives a mid-summer and end-of-summer evaluation from both their manager and Human Resources.
