Before business school…  
I had limited financial services experience. I wanted to make a career change to a role that was research-oriented, intellectual, and allowed for independence and creativity.

As an Equity Research Summer Associate…
there were times I needed to convey a contrarian perspective, so it was critical to have strong analytic and communication skills, as well as confidence and poise when speaking with clients and the sales force.

My role on the team…
was different from that on most teams since I worked on a two-person team. I was given responsibility right away and helped create models and write reports and notes.

The best part of my summer experience at Morgan Stanley was…
meeting sector analysts, which provided a chance to acquire insight from leaders in our industry. Another highlight was the week we spent in training, learning modeling and valuation techniques and gaining market perspective from Research Management.
