I chose Morgan Stanley to launch my postgraduate career because...

As a Strats and Modeling Summer Associate...
I needed strong technical, quantitative, programming and communication skills
from day one. I developed a deep understanding of the business, my particular
area, and the challenges inherent within each. I worked closely with other
Strats, Traders, Structurers and Salespeople, and the Marketing, Legal and
Compliance teams.
My role on the team...
involved analyzing daily risk and the previous day's profit & loss (P&L)
and reading market updates. I helped the trading desk analyze particular results
from a model I developed over the duration of my internship.
The best part of my summer experience at Morgan Stanley was...
learning while
being part of a supportive team. The atmosphere of entrepreneurship and frank,
clear communication allowed for constructive debate —my opinion
made a difference, which encouraged me to develop new ideas and be more creative.
I worked independently, but I knew that I was not alone in the process.
