it provides me with an understanding of various financial products and opportunity to work across multiple divisions and functions. It is a stimulating environment with projects focused on ways to reduce operational risk.

As an Operations Analyst...
problem solving, time management and being detail-oriented to analyze or interpret data are all essential qualities to have. I am focused and results-driven, have learned about products and the trade life cycle, and have become keenly aware of control and risk management. I've learned to analyze data, improve processes and create efficiencies.

A typical day...
starts by addressing overnight issues from around the globe and outstanding trades from the previous evening. I review daily risk reports and implement risk mitigation procedures. Throughout the day I communicate with clients about items such as bilateral contracts or bank notifications. I test new or existing systems and manage the release of updated ones. Periodically, I run quality checks to ensure reports are accurate, and I analyze and disseminate market data to applicable departments and clients. Whenever possible, I work on side projects to make our daily procedures less risky and more cost-effective.
