When will Morgan Stanley be visiting my campus?

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MORGAN STANLEY IS NOT VISITING MY CAMPUS?

Morgan Stanley often hosts off-campus events, conducts information sessions, and participates in career fairs. These are a good way to meet representatives from our Firm. We would advise you to coordinate with your career services office to learn more about these opportunities. Additionally, we encourage you to apply online and leverage connections with alumni networks and personal relationships to investigate if a career at Morgan Stanley is right for you.

HOW DO I APPLY TO A POSITION AT MORGAN STANLEY?

You must submit an application through the Morgan Stanley Careers website. For opportunities in North America, Morgan Stanley job postings may be listed on your school's career website as well as our own. In this case, please apply to both postings.

WHERE DOES THE INTERVIEW TYPICALLY TAKE PLACE?

This varies by region, but the majority of our interviews will take place on campus, over the telephone, via video conference, or in person at our offices.

WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU OFFER FOR A SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW?

You should be well prepared and research the industry, the Firm and specific business area to which you have applied. Be knowledgeable and provide specific examples about why you would like to work here.

WHEN ARE APPLICATIONS DUE?

Application deadlines are different for Internship and full-time positions, and vary by region. For application dates, please consult the specific role and region you are interested in. You can also reference our APPLY NOW section for additional information, as well as your school’s career site.

CAN I APPLY TO MORE THAN ONE DIVISION/REGION?

Yes, but keep in mind you will be required to explain your interests in and demonstrate an understanding of each of the areas you applied to. We encourage you to explore our program descriptions to help you determine which areas best suit your interests and background.

DO I NEED RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE TO APPLY?

Relevant work experience is not a prerequisite to apply for any of our programs.

CAN I APPLY IF I AM NOT STUDYING BUSINESS?

We recruit candidates from across all academic disciplines and we encourage applications from students of all backgrounds. In some regions, we run a boot camp for non-finance analysts to support them through the financial and technical aspects of the program.

CAN I APPLY IF I REQUIRE WORK AUTHORIZATION?

Yes, you may apply to any position even if you require work authorization. Morgan Stanley will apply for these work permits on behalf of the selected candidate. Any job offer made by the Firm is conditional upon successful completion of that application.

HOW CAN I PARTAKE IN THE INTERNSHIP RECRUITING PROCESS IF I AM STUDYING ABROAD?

If you are studying abroad during the spring semester, please apply online by early November. Please also check your career services website for study abroad-specific job postings.

If you are studying abroad during the fall semester, then you will be able to participate in the regular internship recruiting process during the spring. Please note that regional offices’ dates will vary.
