Biography
Navindu Katugampola is the Global Head of Sustainability for Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) and the Global Head of Sustainable Investing for MSIM Fixed Income and Liquidity teams. He also co-chairs MSIM’s Sustainability Council. He joined the firm in 2004 and has 18 years of industry experience. Navindu was previously the Head of Green & Sustainability Bond Origination for Morgan Stanley’s Global Capital Markets group. In this role he helped issuers raise over $80Bn in Green, Social & Sustainability Bonds and served on both the Executive Committee and the Advisory Council of the ICMA Green and Social Bond Principles. Navindu was also previously the Head of Sovereign, Supranational and Agency Debt Origination for Morgan Stanley. In addition to his MSIM role, Navindu works with Morgan Stanley EMEA Firm Management on cross-divisional Sustainable Finance initiatives, product innovation and policy & regulatory engagement. Navindu received a B.A. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, graduating with 1st class honours. He has completed all 3 levels of the CFA® exams.
