Biography
Navindu Katugampola is the Head of Sustainable Investing. He also co-chairs MSIM’s Sustainability Council. He joined the firm in 2004. Navindu began his career in the investment industry in 2004. Navindu was previously the Head of Green & Sustainability Bond Origination for Morgan Stanley’s Global Capital Markets group. In this role he helped issuers raise over $80 bn in Green, Social, and Sustainability Bonds and served on both the Executive Committee and the Advisory Council of the ICMA Green and Social Bond Principles. Navindu was also previously the Head of Sovereign, Supranational and Agency Debt Origination for Morgan Stanley. In addition to his MSIM role, Navindu works with Morgan Stanley EMEA Firm Management on cross-divisional sustainable finance initiatives, product innovation, policy and regulatory engagement. Navindu earned a B.A. in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge, graduating with 1st class honors. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
