Our seventh installment of Perspectives on Excellence features John Watson, Chairman and CEO of Chevron Corporation. John joined Chevron in 1980 and rose through various financial, analytical and supervisory positions before being elected president of Chevron Canada Ltd. in 1996. He led the company’s integration effort following the Chevron-Texaco merger in 2000, became the corporation’s CFO and was selected as President of Chevron International Exploration and Production company in 2005. In 2008, John became Executive Vice President for Strategy and Development then served as Vice Chairman of the Board from 2009 to 2010. In addition to his many business related board and industry association memberships, John is on the University of California, Davis Chancellor’s Board of Advisors.
