Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management Appoints Latin American Team

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) Private Wealth Management announced today that it has hired a team of four seasoned investment professionals to serve the Latin American market.

The team will be based in Miami and includes three Investments Representatives:  Executive Director Bernardo Acebal, Executive Director Sergio Mariscal, Vice President Leo Roche and Sales Assistant, Marcelo Bestard.  The team joins Morgan Stanley from Lehman Brothers, and will report to Ernesto A. de la Fe, Managing Director and Head of Latin America.

Mr. Acebal, 43, has 13 years of experience in the securities industry.  He earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.   Mr. Acebal specializes in portfolio construction and risk management to best implement a comprehensive financial plan for clients; he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Mr. Mariscal, 48, began his career in the financial services industry 25 years ago.  From 1996 to 1998, he headed ING’s Private Banking division and prior to that, from 1990 to 1996, he was with Grupo Financiero Invermexico as Managing Director for Commercial and Private Banking.  Mr. Mariscal earned a B.B.A. from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico.

Mr. Roche, 63, brings four decades of investment experience to the benefit of his clients.  A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Roche is very active in community affairs and was recently elected a member of the USO World Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
