Placement and Duration

This programme is available in our London and Glasgow offices and is a four year Apprenticeship within our Technlogy division, taken in line with study for a degree from a local university. You will benefit from theory-based learning as well as the opportunity to develop practical skills in IT, which you will apply as you gain a valuable insight into the financial industry. Throughout your apprenticeship experience you will receive support from your manager and be entitled to full Morgan Stanley benefits. 

Training Program

Your training curriculum will commence in your first week at Morgan Stanley. This will include an introduction to Morgan Stanley followed by technical and professional skills sessions. Throughout your Apprenticeship, alongside your formal studies, you will be exposed to business speakers, practical sessions and have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from your peers through various forums and events.

Responsibilities

  • Development Teams: Our development teams design, develop and maintain applications used by our business units. Daily activities include meeting with clients to gather and analyze requirements. They make system design decisions, evaluating, integrating and developing necessary software, and then test and deploy applications to production. Developing high-performing systems, and evolving complex workflows and life-cycle management capabilities are just some of the projects available for developers.
  • Enterprise Engineering Teams: Our infrastructure and platform teams develop cutting-edge systems to run our business. Our engineers provide tools, applications and platforms such as the Firm’s networks, computing hardware, operating systems and databases for the Firm’s trading, mobile and other end-user applications. Engineering the Firm’s websites, managing the Windows and Linux plants and developing client reporting delivery systems are just some of the projects available for engineers in our organization.
