Morgan Stanley

Placement and duration

The Off-Cycle Internship programme takes place in our Glasgow office only and is aimed at students who graduated in Summer 2020, are considering a career in Operations and wish to gain first-hand experience of the role of an Operations Analyst, on a fixed term basis. The Off-Cycle Internship is for a period of 12 months, after which candidates will be considered for a Full-Time position starting in 2022.

The program gives an introduction to the Financial Services industry and the Operations Division, as well as an opportunity to develop the personal and professional competencies necessary to be successful within the Division. You will be placed within a team best aligned to your skills, and will be provided with classroom and on-the-job training to develop a thorough understanding of the business, as well as project work as directed and guided by your manager. Supervision and guidance will be provided by experienced Operations professionals to all Off-Cycle Interns throughout the program, to ensure the best and most meaningful experience.

Training program

Off-Cycle Interns start their program with participation in a Firmwide Induction Day covering the overview of Morgan Stanley’s businesses, structure, and strategy. This is followed by two days of classroom-based training covering product and industry knowledge, soft skills, and teambuilding activities. Throughout the program, in addition to on-the-job training, Off-Cycle Interns will also take part in networking events, training sessions hosted by different teams and work-shadowing.
