Placement and duration
The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program consisting of one week of training and nine weeks working within a specific IM team. The Summer Analyst position is group-specific and offers extended are for the following functional areas - Investing, Client Engagement, or Risk & Analysis. The majority of our opportunities are in our New York offices, but there are select positions in San Francisco and West Conshohocken. During the 10-week program, Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst.
IM's Fixed Income Group covers a range of sectors running the risk/return gamut to meet current needs of investors. Fixed Income invests in Corporate Bonds/Loans, Structured Products, Government Bonds and Emerging Market Bonds. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating investment outlook and rationales to clients, helping raise assets, and the production of marketing material.
Training program
Morgan Stanley Investment Managements training program consists of curriculum designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need to be successful in IM. The Program is one weeklong and includes a Firmwide orientation, business overviews, professional development, technical training and networking events. A speaker series is also a part of the overall training and is run throughout the duration of the Program.
