Placement and Duration
The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program consisting of one week of training and nine weeks working within a specific IM team. The Summer Analyst position is group-specific and offers extended are for the following functional areas - Investing, Client Engagement, or Risk & Analysis. The majority of our opportunities are in our New York offices, but there are select positions in San Francisco and West Conshohocken. During the 10-week program, Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst.
The Data & Analytics Group (DAG) is a central team in the COO Office of Morgan Stanley Investment Management putting high quality data at the heart of the various functions within MSIM. The team consists of 16 team members across New York & Mumbai.
A summer analyst will work closely with senior DAG leads and be responsible for project origination in the analytics & research space, idea generation, research/data analysis/visualization of enterprise and alternative data sets as well as presentation of findings to team leadership and other internal stakeholders.
Training Program
Morgan Stanley Investment Managements training program consists of curriculum designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need to be successful in IM. The Program is one weeklong and includes a Firmwide orientation, business overviews, professional development, technical training and networking events. A speaker series is also a part of the overall training and is run throughout the duration of the Program.
