Placement and duration

The Summer Analyst Program runs for 5 weeks, between May to August. Summer Analysts will rotate through various desks, depending on the student's interest and adequacy.

Training program

The training program has a one-day regional orientation with business-specific content. The nonformal training includes networking, lunch seminars and social events. The training is holistic with both immersion in Morgan Stanley and opportunities to establish a professional network.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales support for client relationships.
  • Assist traders as they execute trades, develop trade ideas and market analysis as well as manage risk under high pressure.
  • Learn how to develop risk management products.
  • Understand how to conduct research by providing market fundamentals, analytics and investment recommendations.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements

  • You must be a student in your penultimate year.
  • You have good communication skills and are fluent in Japanese.
  • You have strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • You can work under pressure in a trading environment.
  • You have a professional attitude, are positive and a team player with strong leadership abilities.
  • You execute quickly and can multitask and prioritize.
