Placement and duration

The Summer Analyst Program runs for 5 weeks, between May to August. Summer Analysts will rotate through various desks, depending on the student's interest and adequacy.

Training program

One day of regional orientation across the business units is followed by two weeks of Firmwide training and one month of business-unit-specific training. The training includes networking opportunities and lunch meetings.

  • Traders: Execute trades; develop trade ideas and market analysis; manage risk under high pressure.
  • Structuring: Develop products for risk management.
  • Research: Provide market fundamentals analytics and develop investment recommendations.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements

  • You must be a graduate from an undergraduate university or graduate school.
  • You are fluent in both Japanese and English.
  • You have strong mathematical and analytical skills and can work under pressure in a trading environment.
  • You have a professional attitude, are positive, and are a team player with strong leadership abilities.
  • You execute quickly, and can multi-task and prioritize.
