Summer Analyst

Placement and duration

The Summer Analyst Program starts in mid-June and runs for 10 weeks, offering a rotation amongst the various product and functional groups in both Institutional Equities and Prime Brokerage. Participants will have exposure to markets, products and a wide variety of professionals within the Division.

Training program

The training program consists of a basic orientation, introductory presentations for each of the major product groups, desk rotations, Bloomberg training, networking events, learning lunches and other social events that will provide participants with the foundation for a career in the Financial Services Industry.

Responsibilities

  • An active or supportive role in client coverage.
  • Trading book exposure.
  • Management, identification and materialization of new services and products.
  • General market analytics.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements

  • You must be a student in your final year of study with a strong track record of academic excellence. Extensive knowledge of Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering is preferred but not required.
  • You are fluent in both Japanese and English.
  • You are intellectually curious, analytical, detail-oriented, quantitatively astute, insightful and adaptive.
  • You are a quick learner, leader, team player, multi-tasker and an excellent communicator, as well as possess a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn.
