Placement and duration

The Full-Time Analyst Program is a two-year program that is centered around practical, on the job training and coaching from experienced professionals, and includes a broad introduction to the Equities markets and each of the major product groups within Institutional Equities and Prime Brokerage. The Program typically starts in April for graduates of japanese universities, and in June or July for those graduating from universities overseas. Candidate placement is determined on a case-by-case basis, with the goal of matching the business needs of the product group in question with the skillset and interests of the candidate.

Training program

Training consists of a basic orientation, introductory presentations for each of the product groups, desk rotations and on-the-job exposure to markets, products, clients and industry professionals.

  • Active or supporting role in client coverage
  • Responsibility for managing and maintaining a trading book
  • Creation and marketing of new financial products and services

Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements

  • You must be a student in your final year of study with a strong track record of academic excellence. Extensive knowledge of Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering is preferred but not required.
  • You are fluent in both Japanese and English.
  • You are intellectually curious, analytical, detail-oriented, quantitatively astute, insightful and adaptive.
  • You are a quick learner, leader, team player, multitasker and an excellent communicator, as well as possess a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn.
