Placement and duration

As the nexus between Investment Banking and Sales & Trading, Global Capital Markets (GCM) includes traditional market coverage and underwriting groups, as well as a number of product groups focused on providing customized capital structure solutions for our clients. You will be working with clients on complex, innovative financing and risk management solutions in a fast-paced environment with immediate access to market information.

Training program

Training includes a Firmwide orientation with a varied range of training courses. There is also business unit-specific training.

Responsibilities

  • You will be placed in the GCM Analyst Program, which will allow you to have hands-on experience and be able to understand financial concepts, build a dynamic model and have a strong understanding of the Morgan Stanley culture.
  • You will be providing support on marketing and execution of offerings and products, gathering market data to analyze trends, investors' sentiment and market outlooks, preparing analysis, creating financial models, and attending team and client meetings.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements

  • You have an excellent academic record and a strong interest in financial markets.
  • You have fluency in Japanese and business-level English.
  • You have strong analytical and numerical skills that put you at ease with financial data.
  • You are a team player with the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities.
  • You are results-driven, perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
  • You are committed to excellence in your work and maintain high professional and ethical standards.
  • You have basic MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
