Placement and duration

The three-year Operational Risk Management Analyst Program is an intensive, hands-on experience. You will be exposed to all areas of the department and become an important member of the team, charged with rapidly increasing levels of responsibility under the guidance of more experienced colleagues.

Training program

It has been designed to give you exposure to the full range of the Firm's products as quickly as possible. You will find yourself on a very steep learning curve, beginning with a four-week training program covering both technical and soft skills. Once you join your team, you will begin extensive on-the-job training.

Get to Know Our Recent Recruits


  • Meet with the Business Unit (Front Office) and control groups to identify significant Firmwide Operational Risk themes and trends.
  • Review and analyse data and metrics related to Operational Risk from various sources to identify themes and trends.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to enable senior management to make decisions to manage and monitor Operational Risk.
  • Investigate ad hoc Operational Risk Incidents.
  • Undertake analysis on particular Operational Risk themes including, but not limited to, measuring exposures resulting from particular operational risk scenarios.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements

  • You are a university student in the final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally in finance, accounting (or other business related fields) or mathematics (or other quantitative subject); applications from students in the final year of a degree in another discipline are also welcomed, provided that they can demonstrate good numerical and analytical skills.
  • You are numerate, with strong data analysis skills.
  • You demonstrate an ability to work on assignments in a dynamic environment, analyse information, distill relevant facts and reach logical conclusions.
  • You demonstrate a strong interest in financial services and risk management.
