Placement and duration

The Finance Full-time Analyst Program helps graduates build a solid foundation for a career in Finance. You will be placed within a team best aligned to your skills, and will be provided with ongoing classroom style training as well as thorough on-the-job training designed to help you develop a thorough understanding of the finance division at Morgan Stanley. All Full-time Analysts will have supervision and guidance from experienced Finance professionals from their team to ensure they are set up for success throughout their program.

Training program

Full-time analysts start their Analyst Program with a Firmwide Induction followed by finance specific training covering both technical and soft skills. Analysts will also have exposure to guest lecturers, career development sessions, social and networking sessions.

Responsibilities

As an analyst, your responsibilities may include:

  • Calculating the daily profit and loss (P&L) tallies of traders.
  • Writing market commentaries for management reports.
  • Conducting re-engineering projects to review and enhance processes.
  • Using analytical tools to determine current and potential exposure to risk.
  • Preparing monthly financial and management reports.
