Placement and duration

• Two 12-month rotations that provide a strong foundation in both advisory and oversight aspects of a compliance program 

• Potential placements within a compliance advisory team aligned with one of our businesses or on a team covering specific global compliance functions, such as financial crimes, regulatory relations, information controls or global monitoring and testing 

• A Full-time Analyst Training Program, which includes a Firm orientation, followed by financial, technical and professional skills training as well as networking events

• Compliance-specific training designed to provide a deeper understanding of the Firm’s compliance organization

• Opportunities in New York City and Purchase

Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary depending on your role, but may include the following:

• Conducting due diligence reviews (for example, financial crimes concerns) of clients during the account opening process

• Conducting monitoring and surveillance of transactions, employee activities or communications

• Analyzing regulations, rules and various proposals; drafting and coordinating regulatory updates and compliance bulletins  

• Performing tests of the Firm’s processes and controls to mitigate risks 

• Conducting research and assisting with responses to various regulatory inquiries and examinations

• Reviewing and drafting policies, procedures, compliance manuals and developing/updating related training courses 

• Participating in compliance risk assessments and analyzing the compliance environment and controls for a line of business 

Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements

• You are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree of any discipline, open to all majors

• You are graduating between December 2020 and May 2021

• You have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

• Track record of academic excellence 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to analyze and synthesize a variety of data to produce well-designed and meaningful summaries and reports 

• Adept at solving problems and developing efficient processes

• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
