Biography

Hart Orenstein is an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley and is based in New York. Mr. Orenstein joined Morgan Stanley Private Credit in 2017 and brings 14 years of relevant credit investing and leveraged finance experience. Previously, he served as a leveraged loan and high yield credit investment analyst from 2013-2017 at UBS O’Connor, a multi-strategy hedge fund manager. From 2009-2013, Mr. Orenstein was an investment analyst in the JP Morgan credit trading group covering special situation high yield bonds and leveraged loans across a broad range of industries. Prior to this role, he was a Vice President in JP Morgan’s Syndicated and Leveraged Finance group from 2005-2009, focusing on the technology, media and telecommunication industries. Before his career in finance, Hart worked in the technology industry as a Hardware Design Engineer and a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer for Alcatel. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Queen’s University (Ontario, Canada) and received his M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
