Alex Payne is a portfolio manager on the Mortgage and Securitized invest-ment team. He joined Eaton Vance in 2015 which was acquired by Morgan Stanley in 2021. Alex began his career in the investment industry in 2007 at Goldman Sachs and worked on the mortgage whole loan trading desk. Alex is also the founder of Famous Friends, a charity that provides mortgage down payment grants for teachers, nurses and first responders in underserved are-as, as well as a Trustee of Public Trusts in Lexington, MA who oversees en-dowments for the town library, cemeteries, scholarships and conservation land, among many others. Alex earned a B.A. in government from Dartmouth College and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
