John V. Veech is a Managing Director and Head of Americas for Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners ("MSIP"). With over 31 years of principal investing, advisory, and project finance experience, John has extensive knowledge in acquisitions, financings and management of infrastructure assets. Since joining MSIP, he has had responsibility for all of the Americas team’s investment activities, including the investment of $2.7 billion in equity across several industry verticals, and led the Southern Star, Eureka Hunter Gas Gathering System, and Red Oak Power investments. John is a member of the Investment Committee and Valuation Committee for Fund I and Fund II, and he serves on the boards of Chicago Parking Meters (“CPM”), MATEP, Eureka Hunter and Red Oak Power and served on the board of Southern Star prior to its sale.
Prior to joining MSIP, John was a Managing Director in Lehman Brothers’ Private Equity Division and, previously, Global Head of Lehman Brothers’ Global Project Finance. There, his team underwrote or placed in excess of $35 billion of capital markets project debt, and received numerous Deal of the Year awards. Prior to this, John was a Vice President at Salomon Brothers and an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
John holds a J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Annual Review of Banking Law, as well as a B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Lehigh University, College of Business and Economics.
