Ahmad Atwan is a Managing Director focused on natural gas infrastructure investing in the Americas. Prior to joining MSIP, Ahmad was a Managing Director at BlackRock in the Global Private Equity Group, a direct private equity investment vehicle. There, he led investments in energy and commodities, including oil, natural gas, energy services and pipeline infrastructure. Prior to this, Ahmad spent over a decade in private equity, operating company and management consulting roles. He was also Investment Committee co-chair and COO of a Dubai-based investment firm that managed over $450 million for direct investments into energy and telecommunications companies. Ahmad received a B.S. from Harvard University in Economics and was selected as a Rhodes Scholar. He also earned a graduate degree from Oxford University in International Relations.
