Biography

Tjalling (TJ) Halbertsma is a Managing Director and Head of Alternatives Distribution Management for Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2020 following the acquisition of Eaton Vance, where he was the Head of Global Distribution and CEO of Eaton Vance International. Before joining Eaton Vance, he was with Nuveen Investments where he served as Managing Director, Head of EMEA. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Man Group and held roles in Equity Sales at Morgan Stanley and UBS. He started his career in the investment management industry in 1995. T.J. earned a B.A. and a M.S. in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Nyenrode University, the Netherlands Business School. He followed the Corporate Finance Program at London Business School.
