Robert Bassman is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital. Previously, he was a member of Morgan Stanley Principal Investments and Morgan Stanley's Special Situation Group, both Morgan Stanley on-balance sheet investment vehicles where he focused on private equity and credit investments. Robert’s current and recent board positions include Docuware, Vigilant Solutions, EcoIntense, GumGum, Voices.com, HighQ Solutions, Blinds.com, Mitel Networks and DigitalGlobe. Robert joined Morgan Stanley in 2004 as an Analyst in the Media and Communications Group within the Investment Banking Division. Robert is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and also spent one year at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
