Investment Objective
Morgan Stanley India Investment Fund, Inc.'s objective is long-term capital appreciation.

Investment Policies
Under normal conditions, at least 65% of the Fund's total assets will be invested in equity securities of Indian issuers. The Fund may invest in common and preferred stock, bonds, notes or debentures convertible into common or preferred stock, stock purchases, warrants, rights, equity interests in trusts and partnerships, or ADRs and GDRs.

Benchmark
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) National Index is a market capitalization weighted index of 100 companies expressed in U.S. dollar terms.
