Background

John Watt is a Senior Advisor focused on Asset Management. John brings more than 38 years of experience within the oil, gas and power sectors both as an investor and as an operator. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP), John was Director of the Infrastructure Group for Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where he executed numerous transactions in the energy & utilities space. Prior to this, he held senior management roles at Ontario Power Generation, a government-owned power utility, and operating roles at TransAlta and Amoco. John holds an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario as well as a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
