Capital Introduction
"Working in Partnership with our Clients"
Consistent with its longstanding tradition of
innovation, Morgan Stanley developed its Capital Introductions business
in New York in 1997 and in London in 1998. Working as a global team,
the Capital Introductions group has representatives based in New
York, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Chicago, and San Francisco, effectively
covering every major centre of hedge fund capital in the world.
With a diverse range of skill sets and experience,
including significant experience as hedge fund investors and as
senior members within hedge fund organisations, the Morgan Stanley
Capital Introductions team is positioned to provide clients with
unique insights into the capital-raising process.
Morgan Stanley customises its capital-raising
efforts according to the needs and interests of clients. The Capital
Introductions team works with clients to address their capital-raising
needs from before launch until the fund is closed to new capital
- and beyond. Before launch, the team will work with clients on
marketing materials and presentations and act as a sounding board
for prospective investor concerns and questions. The team can then
arrange targeted meetings with investors on a one-on-one or a group
basis, providing clients with colour before and after meetings regarding
investor concerns and reactions. Morgan Stanley's monthly manager
events and its hedge funds conferences, such as its Annual Hedge
Fund Forum in Versailles, France, are generally regarded as the
pre-eminent hedge fund events in the industry.
Morgan Stanley has played an integral role in
the capital-raising process for the vast majority of Europe's leading
hedge funds. Because of the prominent role that Morgan Stanley plays
in the hedge fund marketplace, it is a key point of access for all
significant hedge fund investors. By combining a systematic approach
to capital raising with a customised service, Morgan Stanley aims
to surpass a manager's expectations at every stage in the capital-raising
process.
