Jerry Miller Named President and CEO of Van Kampen

Jerry Miller has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Van Kampen Investments Inc., effective immediately, the company announced today. Mr. Miller, 46, succeeds Michael Kiley, who has announced his intention to resign from the Firm to pursue other opportunities. He joins Van Kampen with 24 years of experience in the financial services industry, including a succession of leadership roles in both asset management and wealth management. Mr. Miller has served since 2006 as Central Division Director for Morgan Stanley’s Global Wealth Management Group, overseeing offices in 23 states. From 2002 to 2006, he was Chief Operating Officer of the global proprietary business of Merrill Lynch Investment Management (MLIM), where he had primary responsibility for sales, marketing and key account coverage activities worldwide, and joint responsibility for the retail separate accounts group. Mr. Miller joined Merrill Lynch in 1984 as a financial advisor, and held a succession of management positions culminating in that of Northeast District Director, overseeing 1,000 FAs in 53 offices. He began his career in institutional equity sales at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. “We are delighted to welcome Jerry to Van Kampen.
