SponsorshipsMorgan Stanley Innovators Series at the Asia Society Morgan Stanley is proud to partner with the Asia Society to sponsor The Morgan Stanley Innovators Series, our multi-year collaboration celebrating Asian innovation, both traditional and contemporary. The exhibitions and performances in this series exemplify innovation and leadership in the arts—from the most modern musical and artistic achievements coming out of Asia, to innovative scholarship and new understanding of Asia’s historical contributions to the world. The most recent sponsorship in the series is the first-ever museum retrospective of Zhang Huan, one of the most important and widely recognized Chinese artists working in the United States and China. Zhang Huan: Altered States includes 55 of the artist’s major works produced over the past 15 years in Beijing, New York and Shanghai, including photographs and sculpture. The first exhibit in this collaboration Gilded Splendor: Treasures of China’s Liao Empire (907-1125) features over 200 recently excavated objects from Inner Mongolia that reveal the complex cultural and religious legacy of the Khitan and their reign over China during the Liao Dynasty. We are honored to work with the Asia Society, which has its own reputation for 50 years of innovative exhibitions, performances and conferences that foster greater understanding between Asia and the rest of the world. |
