Your Opportunity as a Summer Intern in Technology

The Intern Program is designed to develop highly motivated junior technologists. Interns are recruited and placed into specific development or infrastructure teams for the duration of the internship.

High-performing Interns may be invited to extend their internships and further receive an invitation to interview for the Full Time Analyst Program.

How the program works and the day-to-day experience you can expect

The program begins with an introduction to the securities business, including an overview of the technical environment. An overview of the Morgan Stanley technical environment, systems and infrastructure is provided throughout the program.

A weekly speaker series provides Summer Interns with the perfect forum to learn and discuss emerging trends and developments in technology and finance with senior managers from the firm. To smooth the transition from classroom to the corporate environment, Summer Interns are typically paired with Morgan Stanley employees who serve as mentors. In many instances, mentor relationships continue well beyond the end of the program. Moreover, frequent social activities throughout the internship allow for networking opportunities with officers, associates and peers.

Summer Interns may enroll in additional on-site training classes to sharpen their skills in the technologies relevant to their internship.

Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree (Shanghai only) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and related technical majors. Fluency in written and spoken English – CET (College English Test) 6 or equivalent is required. All majors are encouraged to apply.

Selection Process

Selected applicants will be invited to take a written test assessing their analytical ability. Candidates who successfully meet our scoring criteria will undergo a first round phone interview. Selected applicants will be invited to interview at our offices for the final round of interviews.
