Your Opportunity as a Spring Insight Participant

The Technology Insight Programme is designed for first-year students of a three-year course, or second-year students of a four-year course who are considering a career in technology. The programme gives you an opportunity to learn more about technology within the investment banking industry and a chance to experience the unique culture of Morgan Stanley.

You will gain insight into how innovative technology solutions continue to influence the industry and how Morgan Stanley’s complex and global infrastructure provides a vital platform for demanding technical in-house and client applications and systems.

The programme will also provide you with an understanding of the wide number of career opportunities available within the technology environment, allowing you to make an informed decision about what areas to pursue for future internships and graduate positions.

How the programme works and the day-to-day experience you can expect

The week-long Technology Insight Programme, commencing on March 30 2009, will give you an overview of how the technology division partners with the business areas of Morgan Stanley including Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, Private Wealth Management, Investment Management, and Credit.

You will have the opportunity to participate in a combination of firm-wide and technology-specific information sessions, interactive presentations, technical workshops, and formal and informal networking events.

It also provides information sessions and practice on the recruitment process. You will gain insight into the skills and knowledge necessary for a technology career in investment banking and spend time with a cross section of employees from a variety of groups within the technology division.

Requirements
You must be an undergraduate in either your first year or second year. A degree in any subject is considered, and you must have a demonstrated interest in Technology.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of an initial application and a telephone interview.
