Your Opportunity as an Analyst in Human Resources

The HR Analyst Program is designed to develop highly analytical human resources professionals. Within the HR Division, there are several areas in which you can specialize:

  • A Data Analyst supports a specific business within the firm on a host of human resources issues, including headcount, compensation, data analysis, benchmarking pay practices in the market place, and conducting compensation and expense analyses.
  • A Recruiting Analyst on the campus - lateral or diversity recruiting teams - participates in the design of recruiting and sourcing strategies.
  • A Coverage Analyst supporting a specific business unit will be exposed to performance management, learning and development, talent management and the year-end compensation processes.
The Analyst Program in Human Resources
How the program works and the day-to-day experience you can expect

The Analyst Program offers an intensive hands-on introduction to Human Resources at Morgan Stanley. Analysts are placed into a coverage or product role. Throughout the program, Analysts will attend various training sessions designed to facilitate professional development, enhance their HR skill set and increase knowledge and understanding of the firm as well as philanthropic and social networking events. Towards the end of the nine-month program, Analysts will team with each other to complete a project aimed at developing a solution for an existing enterprise-wide HR challenge.  Analyst proposals are presented to HR Senior Management and the Division at large. Additionally, each Analyst will be assigned a mentor, who will help you navigate through the organization and provide guidance as you embark on your career. We expect that these experiences will provide an opportunity to build a strong foundation for a possible career in Human Resources at Morgan Stanley.
