A DAY IN THE LIFE
I selected Institutional Equities because...
I wanted to work in the financial markets and use my knowledge and judgment
to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
As an Institutional Equity Analyst...
I have developed and executed trading ideas, managed risk, built client relationships
and analyzed metrics to understand how we monetize resources. The ability to
work independently, make decisions, and apply strong problem-solving and quantitative
skills are essential.
A typical day...
starts by analyzing and synthesizing market updates to understand how stocks
might be affected that day. I then explain that analysis and make recommendations
to our clients or sales traders who execute orders and find market opportunities.
After market close, I turn to syndicate offerings and discuss the day's market
activity with clients.
Many Institutional Equity Analysts...
stay on their desk
or explore other products and areas within Sales & Trading.
