Morgan Stanley received Euromoney's global award for Best Credit Derivatives House. The global capital markets publication's Awards for Excellence 2004 also named the Firm tops in M&A, Debt and Equities in regional categories.

Last year, Morgan Stanley won the most improved award in credit derivatives. This year, Euromoney reported that "Morgan Stanley is the firm that often seems to be on the lips of market participants as the one to beat now."

The strong showing follows Morgan Stanley's recognition as the number one provider of credit derivative index products for the second year in a row in Risk Magazine’s 2004 annual survey of asset managers. An accomplishment preceded by Morgan Stanley’s clean sweep of all the major fixed-income derivatives awards in Risk’s 2003 year-end review (Derivatives House of the Year, Interest-Rate Derivatives House of the Year and Credit Derivatives House of the Year). 

Managing Director Annabel Littlewood, Head of CDS Trading in Europe, attended the awards dinner on July 15 at London’s Natural History Museum and accepted the award on the Firm’s behalf. She commented: "We are very excited that our leadership and efforts over the years in Credit Derivatives have been recognized by this global award."

The Firm also won best M&A House in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea and Best Equities House in China.

  Morgan Stanley was awarded Best M&A House with Euromoney reporting that "Amongst all the banks competing for the award Morgan Stanley shines through, especially in key markets such as the UK, France and Spain." The Firm also won Best M&A House in France and Spain and Best Equities House in Ireland
