Below is an extract from IFR's press release followed by an excerpt from the magazine article:

"Morgan Stanley has won the twin accolades of IFR Bond House of the Year and U.S. Dollar Bond House of the Year. The awards have been given in recognition of the Bank's dominance of the U.S. market and its breakthrough in the European market where it has climbed from number five to number two in the rankings. Morgan Stanley has achieved this in spite of a market place where borrowers are becoming more and more demanding of banks managing their debt and bond financing."

"[Morgan Stanley] built up a solid franchise in the European currency, married it with a dominant presence and propensity for innovation in the U.S. dollar market, and led the most impressive array of cross-border financings in history."

In addition to the major award of Bond House of the Year, IFR awarded Morgan Stanley all of the awards related to the Emerging Markets. The awards marked a "clean sweep" of all of IFR's Emerging Markets Bond categories, thus confirming our franchise's dominant position in the sector.

IFR cited Morgan Stanley's "ability to bring to market a broad range of credits from Latin America and EEMEA, deepening liquidity and lengthening maturities in arduous market conditions, and running a series of well-orchestrated liability management exercises."

The recognition accorded to Morgan Stanley clearly signals our Firm's ability to provide a diverse set of borrowers certainty of execution and unparalleled innovation despite often arduous market conditions, and the Firm's commitment and dedication to providing high-quality service to our clients.
