Morgan Stanley has been recognized for its leadership in ABS market making by the major fixed income investors in Europe.

Morgan Stanley was named ABS Trading House of the Year last week by Structured Finance International (SFI). The Firm's secondary market making presence in Europe is unique. Morgan Stanley is one of the few Street firms with a dedicated risk taker for US$ products located in London. This presence gives Morgan Stanley a five-hour head start on its competition. Sales people at other Street firms covering European accounts out of London must wait for the New York trading desks to arrive before they can obtain firm bids or offers for US$ ABS.

The ABS trading team includes Brett Kalesky and Berhane Soquar in London and Mike Brown and John Pearce in New York. Morgan Stanley also won the Best Securitization Investment Bank award and a special award for the Arby's ABS transaction from SFI.
