The 2001 Reuters survey of U.S. larger companies polled 378 large-cap companies and 173 fund managers who manage a total of $5.3 trillion. Reuters announced the survey results at an awards luncheon yesterday.
Other Morgan Stanley teams recognized in the "best sector team" poll included Chuck Phillips & team for Software (#3); Rich Bilotti, Doug Arthur, Frank Bodenchak, Mike Russell and team for Media (#7); and Andrew Conway and team for Beverages (#10). Chuck Phillips voted Best "Individual Analyst" In the best individual analyst category, Morgan Stanley analysts captured 5 of the top 10 spots, with Chuck Phillips receiving top honors and Henry McVey placing #4, Doug Terreson #5, Andrew Conway #6 and Steve Girsky #9. For a detailed break out of the analyst rankings, click here. Investment Banking Morgan also moved up a notch to #2 for Investment Banking. Goldman Sachs was first and Merrill Lynch was third. Broker Execution Morgan ranked second in "Overall Broker Execution." Other rankings include second in Listed Execution and third in Nasdaq Execution.
