The February 2001 issue of Institutional Investor ranks Morgan Stanley #1 in five categories. In the category of Best Equity Derivative Products, Morgan Stanley earned #1 in both Index Options and Pricing. The Firm also ranked #1 in the category of Best Credit Derivative Products, sweeping the #1 overall position, as well as #1 for Total Return Swaps and, most importantly, #1 for Execution, Ideas, Strategy, and Origination.

Institutional Investor
conducted the poll through questionnaires and phone interviews of portfolio managers and treasury executives working in corporations, sovereign and supernational agencies in Asia, Europe and the U.S.

Further honors for Morgan Stanley include placement in categories such as Top Derivatives Dealers, as well as several rankings in Best Equity Derivative Products (Overall #3; Index Futures S&P 500 #3; Single-Stock Options #2; Execution, Ideas, Strategy, and Origination #3) and Best Interest Rate Derivative Products (Overall #5; Swaps USD #3; Swaps EUR #5; Pricing #2; Best Tailored Derivative Solutions #4; Execution, Ideas, Strategy, and Origination #3).
