The February 19 edition of Fortune magazine ranks Morgan Stanley the #3 securities firm in their "America's Most Admired Companies" list. This ranking represents the second year in a row that Morgan Stanley has ranked #3. This year, the Firm came out ahead of Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, Paine Webber, Bear Stearns and others.

Fortune describes its list as "the definitive report card on corporate reputations." To create the top ten list for securities, Clarke, Martire & Bartholomeo asked 10,000 executives, directors and securities analysts to rate firms according to eight criteria, ranging from long-term investment value to social responsibility.
